The Mondavi Center’s New Project Takes SHAPE

There is nothing better than having a long-planned project come together even better than originally envisioned! This is what the Mondavi Center staff that worked over several years to bring the SHAPE project to life experienced in November as the three performances connected with SHAPE courses were presented at the Mondavi Center....

Mondavi Center announces.....

....the live performance of self-taught animator Jeremy Rourke with his piece 'The Exploded View From My Time Machine'. He will take the journey of an artist who has perhaps unintentionally been asking rather scientific questions for a while. Why does this lens flare look so beautiful? What f-stop will blur this old photograph just so? How many frames make up this walking cycle?  

LA Dance Chronicle announces...

....on December 5, 2020 at 7:30pm the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts at UC Davis will present a virtual showing of The Vortex, a work created by Donna Sternberg & Dancers in collaboration with visual artist Meredith Tromble and geobiologist Dawn Sumner.
